Phase 1: Data Mining
Database Development - Use the data mining tool import.io to collect contact information of all of the ABET -accredited university programs in the United States; to create a database of the contact information of all university leadership (e.g., President, Vice President/Provost, Dean of Engineering, the Chief Diversity Officer, and the Department Head) from the universities with ABET accredited programs
Phase 2: Conducted Interviews
Interviews - For the qualitative phase of the study, members of the research team conducted one-on-one and group interviews of current WOC faculty. Researchers followed a semi-structured interview protocol and asked faculty to describe their academic and professional journeys. Interviewees were identified using ASEE faculty databases.
Phase 3: Survey
Online Survey - develop a national survey investigating the perspectives of women engineering faculty at U.S. engineering institutions on issues of intersectionality (i.e., race, class, and gender)
